Graduation

It seems like the older I get, the faster the time goes by.  I remember being in elementary school and feeling like each school year was a whole lifetime in itself.  Now, the months go by in the blink of an eye.  It's exciting though because we have SO many changes that are going to be taking place for us over the next several years and I just keep telling myself that it will all come faster than I even realize right now.  And I am definitely not wishing away these next few years, I'm sure they will be fun and crazy and exciting and hard all at the same time.

And on that note, my [undergrad] college career is officially over!  These past five and a half years of college have been some of the most challenging yet best years of my life.  I think about my first semester of college and it seems like it was a lifetime ago.  But then I think about all the experiences I've had during this time and I can't believe how fast it all went.  I've lived in three different states, gone to three different universities, made some of my very best friends, been blessed with some amazing spiritual experiences that have strengthened my testimony of my Savior and Heavenly Father (when I left for college, I had only been a member of the church for 3 weeks!), had a crazy long distance relationship with a really handsome and amazing returned missionary, and got married to my best friend for time and all eternity, just to name a few. :)

I graduated this past Friday and it was such an amazing experience.  Honestly, I was expecting it to be boring and long but it was a blast!  All the talks were kept short and sweet and were funny and entertaining.  They gave us ASU sunglasses and at the end of the ceremony, the MC made a comment about "our futures being so bright that we need shades", everyone put on the glasses and they played music and released balloons while everyone danced.  It was awesome and nothing like how I expected a graduation to be. Ha!

My handsome!

This is one of my very best friends, Dani!  We student taught right next door to each other this year and I honestly would not have got through it without her!  She's the best!

The future is so bright!

My awesome sister and father in-law came down from Snowflake for my graduation as well as my mom from Oregon!

I am so excited to say that all my hard work has paid off and I will be teaching 2nd grade next year at George Washington Academy in Snowflake!  I am so excited for this opportunity!  I absolutely love 2nd grade and Devin and I are really excited to move back to Snowflake.  He will be going to NPC, which is the community college up there, to finish up his associate degree before we are on the move again as he takes the steps he needs to to finish up school for physical therapy.  Like I said, the next several [as in 6 or 7...] years are going to be crazy for us but I am so excited for it and I can't wait to see what adventures lie ahead for us!  :)
