Engagement photos

Well, I haven't been as great at keeping this thing updated as I thought I would be.  But oh well!  Today is the day to fix that!

Devin came to Utah to visit this past weekend and we got to take our engagement photos and it was a blast!  Our wonderful photographer, Jono Ashby, did an amazing job on them and I am so happy with how they turned out!  I haven't gotten all of them back from him yet but here are the few that he has given me so far!

I got a chance to see all of the photos that we took the other day but they weren't quite done being edited so I don't have them all yet.  But there were several more that I am completely in love with and I can't wait to get them back!

While Dev was here, we also got to go register at a couple stores for gifts and that was a lot of work but also really fun!  I think I had a little bit more fun at all this girly-wedding-planning-craziness than Devin did (hmmm, can't imagine why ;) but he was such a great sport about it all and I think he enjoyed using the scanner. :)   I am so grateful to have such an amazing man to soon be able to call my husband!  It has been/is hard to be long distance but I know that each day is a little bit closer to not having to be a part anymore.  And each day, I fall more and more in love with him!

Another highlight of the weekend was buying our first decoration for our home!  We went into Seagull Book to get Dev a book on CD for his drive home and came out with a huge painting of Christ walking on the water instead!  It is absolutely gorgeous and we are both super excited about it.  Dev is not an impulse buyer AT ALL but I think I am rubbing off on him because we saw the picture, loved it and bought it all within about 5 minutes!  But it is something that we will have for a long, long time and will always remember buying it together so I think that it was more than worth it :)
And while we may not have a couch, table, chairs, bed or anything else to put in our home yet, we do have Christ who will always be at the center of our home!
